Building Solid Traffic With Backlinks

Several coaches put up internet sites with the hope of obtaining purchasers from the Web. What sometimes happens is that they get nothing.
Here’s the reason.
A web website isn’t an ad. No one “peruses” web sites in some “web website newspaper.” Of course, nobody can attend your site unless you specifically invite them. A web website really desires advertising.
You need to build traffic to your site.
There are a lot of nice ways that to try and do this and one terrific means is with backlinks.
What is a backlink?
A backlink may be a link FROM another web site TO your site.
As an example, if you’re a member of Coachville, and someone is wanting for a coach, then it’s doable that this person sees your listing in the “Realize a Coach” section and clicks a link to your web site.
This is a backlink from Coachville to your site.
Backlinks are known as “in-bound links” and generally can be called “reciprocal links.”

How?
From the eyes of search engines, your “web site’s price” will increase when the quantity of backlinks increases. Every backlink raises the recognition of your web site.
It’s like being the popular kid in school. The more children who grasp you, the additional standard you are.
What will this lead to?
When individuals put the phrase “life coach” into a quest engine, for the foremost half, the sites with higher popularity will come back up first.
Thirdly, backlinks can create consistent traffic.
Sending out newsletters and giving talks typically bring you immediate “bursts” of traffic.
Bursts of traffic are nice, however require you to make those further efforts in order to continue to get that traffic.

Thanks Christine. I wish I could take credit for it, but I didn’t write the article. But I did see the same points as you, which is why I wanted it on my blog… with permission of course. The value of a backlink is huge. If we can reproduce those backlinks over nd over again, we are at the top of search engines in no time.
Some people think that Google has started to discount web directories. I will have to agree with them to a certain point. Yes Google has discounted the “fly by night” directory that is out to make a fast buck. There are still many link directories that provide a valuable one way backlink imho.
You are right Daniel. We do have to be careful where our backlinks come from. Like the real world, we get associated with the company we hang out. It is the same with the quality of the directories.
Backlink are so important to building credibility with the search engines. Not to mention the fact that they are relatively easy to get! If more people spent time building quality backlinks to their site, they would be getting much more free traffic than they know what to do with

But some people think “easy backlinks” means getting them in link farms. Just have to be careful where the link is from not to be penalized for it.
